forty-two v1.6 is the easiest way to convert a DVD into either an AVI movie , a folder of ready to burn bin/cues for VCDs and SVCDs or a ready to burn .iso DVD disk image on Mac OS X.. It is designed to be simple to use, easy to learn and give quality, in sync results. Please read the easy to follow guide to start converting your DVDs right away.

Version 1.6 brings: DVD Folder processing, Autobitrate calculation for (1 CD) mode, new Multithreading code for improved encoding time and an inline MPG video previewer (requires QuickTime mpeg playback capability). Also, Addresses the bin/cue creation bug.

forty-two v1.6 requires MacOS X 10.2.3 or later, with the BSD Layer installed, 15GB of free space for converting a DVD and a Macintosh compatible DVD drive.

Burning VCDs and SVCDs required a CD Recordable/ReWritable drive. DVD burning requires a MacOS X supported DVD-R/DVR+R drive.
